Jesus offers more than religion or a change of habits. He offers forgiveness, the gift of the Holy Spirit and a completely new life.

The question that matters
Believing is meant to lead to a real experience
In Acts 19, Paul met people who believed, but he still asked whether they had received the Holy Spirit. Their sincerity was not questioned, but something essential was missing from their experience.
They had received John’s baptism, which was a baptism of repentance pointing people toward the Christ who was to come. When they heard the full gospel, they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus. Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they spoke with tongues.
This same promise of new life and the Holy Spirit remains available today.
The New Testament response
Repent. Be baptised. Receive the Holy Spirit.
When people asked what they should do, Peter gave a direct answer. The pattern is simple, personal and open to everyone God calls.

Be baptised
Be baptised by full immersion in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Receive the Holy Spirit
Receive God’s promised Holy Spirit with the scriptural evidence of speaking in other tongues.
Repentance
Turning toward God
Repentance is more than feeling sorry. It is recognising our sin, changing the direction of our heart and turning toward God.
We come honestly, trusting in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and asking Him to forgive us and make us new.
Water baptism
Buried with Christ
We believe in baptism by full immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ. It is the burial of the old life and the answer of a heart that wants to follow Him.
This is not John’s baptism, which looked forward to Christ. It is Christian baptism into the name of the Lord Jesus, as practised in the book of Acts.
The promised gift
Receiving the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is not something we manufacture or learn. He is God’s gift. In the book of Acts, speaking in other tongues accompanied the receiving of the Holy Spirit and made that experience recognisable.
Acts 2:1–4
At Pentecost
They were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 10:44–48
In the house of Cornelius
The Holy Ghost fell upon the Gentiles. The believers knew they had received Him because they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God.
Acts 19:1–6
The believers at Ephesus
They were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus, received the Holy Ghost and spoke with tongues.
The Holy Spirit comforts, strengthens and guides us. Through His power we can pray, worship, overcome and grow into the life God intends for us.
A new beginning
A new life with God
Salvation is not only a moment. It is the beginning of a life in which God works within us, changes us and teaches us to walk by faith.
We continue in prayer, Scripture, fellowship, communion and care for one another. We do not claim instant perfection; we trust God to keep transforming us as we follow Jesus together.
